Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid reviewed the progress of the Sehat Insaf Cards distribution in an important meeting at the Committee Room of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education on Tuesday.
Special Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Silwat Saeed, Additional Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail, Director HR Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company and Manager PHIMC Hasnat Ahmed participated in the meeting. The Minister reviewed patient feedback and the plan to cover the remaining districts on Punjab. Additional Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail gave a brief overview of the Sehat Insaf Cards future plan.
The Minister said people have expressed great trust in Prime Minister Imran Khan. “We are getting statistics about the cards and the beneficiaries. So far, about seven million families have been given the cards. Through this card, a health cover of Rs. 720,000 is provided to the card holders.”
The Minister said that people have reposed great trust in Prime Minister Khan due to initiatives like provision of this card. She said this was major step forward in the provision of healthcare services to the marginalized people. She also said that Punjab government is providing best possible health services to the people.
