MIRPUR KHAS: Speakers on Friday said there were around 400 psychiatrists in Pakistan. Out of which around 120 are in Sindh. It was high time to increase the number of psychiatrist in view of the increasing number of cases of depression. This they said while speaking on the occasion of World Health Day which was celebrated allover in Pakistan along with other parts of the world. The program was organized by the Psychiatric Department of Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas. Speaking on the occasion, District Psychiatric Office Dr Lakesh Khatri said the number of patients with psychiatric problems is increasing. “For example, in 2010 such patients were the fourth highest in the worldwide. In year 2020 it is expected that such patients would be second where in year 2030 it is expected that this people with ailment will be on top.
