LAHORE – A retired session judge Javed Rashid Mehboobi on Saturday moved a petition pleading to change the Lahore High Court (LHC) name to the Punjab High Court.
In his petition before the LHC, Mehboobi stated that names of the two Balochistan and Sindh High Courts were on names of the provinces. However, the LHC name should not be after a city. He further stated that the high court was for Punjab and it’s name should be Punjab High Court.
