ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is all set to commence a countrywide cleanliness campaign today (Monday).
The “Clean and Green Pakistan” campaign will be started from all major cities across the country as part of the PTI government’s policy for a clean and green country.
Last month during a meeting chaired by the premier, on the functions of the Ministry of Climate Change, PM Khan had decided to begin this cleanliness campaign.

Previously, PM’s adviser on climate change Malik Amin Aslam Khan had said that the government will launch an extensive campaign to educate people and motivate them to participate in the “Clean and Green Pakistan” campaign.
Similarly, PM Imran had launched “Plant for Pakistan” drive last month which was part of PTI government’s billion tree Tsunami 2018 drive.

According to climate experts, Pakistan is facing enormous environmental challenges.
A survey conducted by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute ahead of the 2018 poll found that respondents prioritised three key environmental issues: rising temperatures, water shortages, and air pollution.
